Description
This is my latest painting using PainterIX. Very sketchy and painterly type. As usual, I'm using a soft pastel brush and a liquid ink for the blood stains.About a dying King who fought till the end.
C&Cs are welcome.

as for check mate i don't see whats stopping the bishop from moving and dying in the kings place (maybe its somwhere of the page)
on to the usefull information; the blood stains on the board edge look like they are at a different angle, wich gives the impression that they arnt on the board but are floating in mid air, wich irks me.
i like the loose style of the image, ecspeacially the reflections on the base of the queen.
wd.
